Also, I'd like to add that i believe rejection letters should be polite. The one rejection letter I received this week included one particular sentence that i found to be kind of mean: "Your academic record was not competitive with that of other applicants to this department." Did they really have to rub it in and tell me that not only did I not get accepted but that I didn't even have a shot? That's kind of cruel.

That is just evil.

Final few days of February are among us. I didn't think it would ever end..

Hope I hear something within the next few days, even if it's a rejection.

I'm definitely not at the point where I'm ready to trade silence for a rejection.

I don't know. There is a sad sort of relief when you get that first rejection. It's like, well, at least I didn't just imagine sending in all those applications. Somebody got them. ...even if they don't want me.

I agree. If im going to get rejected I would prefer to hear sooner than later, so that I can be sad and then move on..the silence is the worst.

It's incredibly worrisome to see that some people have been waitlisted, others accepted, and I haven't heard a thing.

Idk, I'll still take the silence, at least until I get an admission somewhere. I'd rather deal with the rejections once the semester is almost over.
