I loved the new building. The studios were either private or semi private and spacious (by city standard).The grads I talked to were really friendly and creating interesting work. They seemed to like living in philly and taking part of the opportunities that are present there. All in all, I loved my visit, there seemed to be a good sense of community. I talked to one of the theory professors and it was my impression that the faculty takes care of their grads and are super available. You can easily take classes in other disciplines at Temple if you wish. They take weekly trips to new york in one of the theory classes.

Congrats on being accepted caus! did you get to visit the school so far? In my case, talking to current grads and professors was really great. Glad to hear you found a job post graduation! We should totally organize a gradcafe philly night out in september. where do you recommend as affordable but nice/fun/young/relatively safe living? northern liberties? center city?

happy monday everyone, this waiting game is driving me crazy... i'm about ready to attack the postman when he comes. its the 26th of march and i'm still waiting for 6 answers?! USC, SAIC, MICA should all be by mail, and Tyler by email. It seems that RISD hasn't officially rejected candidates? Also, anyone else still waiting on UCSD? Of course Outwest! I think your work is so interesting and am happy for you! I've never been to Saas-Fee but that would be awesome. I've mainly stayed france-side, in Meribel this time, and would definitely recommend it.

I agree, so grateful for this forum. And yes! If you are reapplying to the same schools, send admissions an email, many will keep recommendation (and transcripts) from one year to the next if you ask them to. You will probably have to send them a reminder when they are putting your app together.

Thanks for your perspective! I agree. Personally I don't feel discouraged, more just like i'm in this weird limbo where I don't know whether to move on to the next battle, or hold out hope for this round. The silence is deafening, and without wanting to, I put a huge part of my energy into waiting, which is taking away from my time painting, creating etc. Any one else feel this way? I've been on the edge of my seat for over a month and a half, every day hoping for good news.
