Yeah I totally get that, it's such a frustrating process. I've been so tense lately, a real nightmare to be around. I go from hopeful to depressed to rational to crazy 50 times a day!

Oh sympatico, I understand what you are saying but don't forget that many of the people with acceptances and interviews are second and third year applicants. It's not like we don't have perspective that it could be worse. Also, getting an interview is something to be grateful for but those who have them still run the risk of not getting in anywhere. I think people need an outlet for all admissions fears and frustrations, big or small, whether that is fear of not getting in, troubles with funding, or even facing difficult choices between schools... I hope things work out for you, but in the meantime i don't think people complaining lack perspective, they are just reaching out to others in their situation.

Thanks tysonr2, I hope so! Just have to be patient I guess.

Im in the same boat.. My status still says no decision. *sigh*

dear wednesday, please bring us some answers. best wishes, an anxious applicant Knowing how hard it is still waiting on answers from 9 schools, I can only imagine how frustrated those who haven't heard anything must feel! So many assumed rejections... just tell us please!

Very end of march last year...

Thanks osprey, for sharing with us! Cogratulations for CCA! I think you are right that until you receive the actual rejection, you cant know for sure. Although i still feel that in many cases knowing whats going on gives us some indication. I hope everything works out for you!

I have! Says "no decision". Come on guys, decide please <3

I didnt have the greatest feeling about the SAIC interview, it went okay-ish. As for tyler, it wasnt an interview, I just visited but I really want to be accepted there, I just loved it. Keep hope mr. Sad!

Uh oh. Back to obsessing! I really want somethinggg to work out.
-
Oh my god so much happened on here!!! HUGE congrats to all those who got good news. For those who noticed my absence (so touched guys!) i was travelling (visited tyler and interviewed at chicago) and getting access to internet was hard. I think the forced break from email access was good for me though. Ive been a little down on myself with this whole process..need to not lose track that there is a life outside of grad admissions?

boston university rejection here too.

I havent heard anything yet either! very strange.

Thank you miyamoto. and way to go for rutgers you're right of course, I shouldn't get discouraged, and focus my energy on the interview instead. good luck today everyone, may this tuesday be fruitful!

Oh my congratulations to everyone getting such good news! Getting a little downcast at not having heard anything from anywhere in so long :/ I know I shouldn't

You aren't alone. This process leaves me going from hopeful to defeated to depressed multiple times of day. I'm just obsessed about hearing back. I'm lucky to have an interview, but even then chances aren't very high. I just want to know for sure, instead of assuming rejection from places I don't hear from.

I agree. If im going to get rejected I would prefer to hear sooner than later, so that I can be sad and then move on..the silence is the worst.

Same to you! I'm sure it will go great at MICA. Feel free to ask me if you have any questions (i interviewed there last year!) And congratulations cxxxxxxx!

new monday! I really wish the schools would stop beating around the bush and just tell us if we are out. It doesn't help that I'm progressively getting more nervous about the SAIC interview...grateful, but worried!

Correction, "la petite mort" is the moment right after an orgasm where you don't feel anything! I love the direction that this thread has taken, I am recently engaged and it looks like we will be taking the big party route...Not that anything is planned yet (waiting to be less freaked out about gradschool) and it's interesting to hear your opinions against that. the silence is definitely killing my ability to think about that aspect of my life..

Thank you patience! I don't feel very uplifting, i'm so anxious for something to work out! but I really do get happy when other people get good news and post it here and I can tell that they are excited. I echo sali's question, what department did you apply to? i'm so glad that your persistence is paying off, best of luck for your interview!!

Congratulations! Very exciting! When and how did you find out? I think you are the first to post about painting here.
