Of course, the results survey also indicates that they did e-mail (not phone) notifications last year, so the above statement could be irrelevant. I wouldn't worry too much about having been on a bus--I played phone tag with another DGS about a week ago and ended up calling him back from the airport, which is not the quietest place to have a conversation.
