john-smith536 Posted March 3, 2012 Posted March 3, 2012 I was checking this site out and was searching and searching to see what people got into with differently weighted applications, and I thought that I would begin a thread where Philosophy majors can write there basic stuff and decisions school made (accepted or denied). I thought it might be useful (or at least desired) during this stressful time. (Hope this isn't already listed under a different thread). Anyway, I have a B.A. in Philosophy from UCLA. 3.829 GPA (3.977 Major GPA). GRE Scores: Verbal-153 (62%), Quanitative- 157 (77%), Analytic 4.0 (48%) I scrounged up a writing sample and letters of recommendations, so I don't think they were so hot. Don't think I had such a strong statement of purpose. No honors really because I was a transfer student and didn't apply for Greek honors. Only hear back from Princeton so far--DENIED. Hope this helps.
UnbearableNausea Posted March 19, 2012 Posted March 19, 2012 Occasionally people will post their CGPA and GRE scores in the results survey. Otherwise I have not seen a thread that offers states paired with acceptances.
ἀκρατής Posted April 6, 2013 Posted April 6, 2013 Did you see this: 37 pages of discussions so far, but I'm not sure whether that's what you were looking for?
MKEPhil Posted April 6, 2013 Posted April 6, 2013 (edited) Where else did you apply? Did you go for writing samples? Also, this is kind of included in the 2013 applicants thread. Edited April 6, 2013 by MKEPhil
