I know! I applied to 8 programs and have only heard back from 1 (SIS, in with no $ :( ) -- i'm stressing out over here, schools!

I spoke to Alice, and she mentioned they're still considering. A friend in the program this year said they were in DC this week and Alice mentioned some people were still completing applications (me included!) so things may be delayed. No confirmation from those in admissions though.

Hey Clay Made, how can you still be completing an application that was due months ago...? Or is this for some kind of scholarship? Did I miss something? And who is Alice? :)

I had some issues caused by ETS on the delay of my scores. And Alice is Alice Kustenbauder, the Jackson institute admissions coordinator.

Ah, right, I remember. So glad Yale decided they could wait on your scores. I hope ETS compensates you or something, seriously.

Hopefully this week is the week for all these schools.

Rejected. Bad grades (2.29 GPA from a small public college, 156Q/164V/4.5W GRE), but several years of experience in Tokyo with the Japanese government and attendence at various international conferences (G20, COP15, APEC Summit, etc.). Was looking for a more professional program and figured Yale was a long shot anyway. Good luck to everyone!

I got in. The best part of the letter was "Your selection is a recognition by the Faculty of your accomplishments and, especially, of your promise as a scholar and a researcher.", which confirms to me the extreme academic bent of the whole program. I don't think it's for me but I'm definitely flattered. No word on any $, they say it's going to come in a letter that I will prob never get since I live abroad.

wow, that's quite an acceptance! congratulations! i'm guessing you have a decent amount of experience?

4 years WE, 3 in developing countries. But it's sooooo academic, I'm sure they take professor recommendations, previous thesis research/publications (I have the former but not the latter) and GPA/GRE just as if not more seriously than WE. Maybe undergrad institution, too.

the rejection is a very general msg from the Graduate school of arts and sciences, no mention of the program I applied -- IR. I'm wondering if I had applied to the right program or my app had been reviewed at all!

Just curious, is it the case for every one not in??

Dinged! Alas, not meant to be. That said, I did get into a different Ivy MBA last month so its been a good 2012 so far.

I imagine the pedigree of accepted Jackson students is pretty impressive since so many of us on here got dinged.

Congrats to everyone who made the cut, and I hope the rest get good news from other schools soon!

yes, mine is also a generic, not program-specific letter.

I'm in at Jackson as well. In my case, I'm guessing it helped that my research/work interests and previous employment (violence in post-conflict Arab states) match up pretty exactly with the Program on Order, Conflict, and Violence.

My stats: 3.7/3.9/4.0; 680v 730q; Fluent French, Fluent Arabic, Persian; Three years abroad in Lebanon, Syria, Egypt; Two years work experience for an Iraq-based consultancy.

Good luck, kids!

have people gotten into HKS/WWS/Stanford IPS/SIPA after being rejected by Yale? Those are the only ones I've applied to and now I feel like I'm out at all schools.
