Heya, everyone and anyone! I've recently been accepted to both Purdue and Indiana University-Bloomington's SLP programs. IU told me I'm on the waitlist for funding, and Purdue says they won't make funding decisions until the beginning of April. So funding isn't a sure thing regardless of where I go, but a part of me says to go to IU and hope that it works out.

Here's my gut reaction:

I absolutely LOVED Bloomington when I visited, and West Lafayette was alright.

Purdue's academic program is ranked a little higher than IU's, but both are top ranked programs.

City-wise, I'm leaning towards Bloomington. Academics and reputation-wise, I'm leaning towards Purdue.

Seriously, ANY feedback about either program or city would be helpful! Thanks :)

Hi! I am in exactly the same position. Did you visit each department prior to applying or just the cities? I have no experience with either program or city (yet!), so I can't help on that front. Are you going to both open houses? I think at that point I'll have a much better feel for the programs and be able to make a more informed decision. I think there's something to be said for following your gut reaction.

Are there any faculty members doing work that interests you more than the other program?
