Based on forum chatter, it seems this is the last school many people (myself included) are waiting on. Commence fretting about when they'll tell us, reveling in the glory of funded admits, or telling that stupid ad-com where to stick it.

Yeah, Georgetown's the only one I'm completely in the dark about now. At least SIPA has said it'd start releasing decisions on the 14th.

While I'm hoping they'll notify us soon, I'm also not holding my breath. Looking at results to other schools though, it seems like many people here have a good chance at admission and funding.

I posted an article a while back about current students calling admitted applicants to congratulate them. There's no way this is their official way to notify, right?

Although they say mail by April 1 so maybe they really call a couple hundred students beforehand..?

Their admissions website says they only use snail-mail. I live in a Chinese factory town, where getting international packages delivered requires 3 months and an act of God, so I contacted them to see if this was true. They assured me that they use email notifications, same as any other school. So I guess no worries?

No way phone-calls are official, seems like just a nice little gesture.

I live in a Chinese factory town, where getting international packages delivered requires 3 months and an act of God, so I contacted them to see if this was true. They assured me that they use email notifications, same as any other school. So I guess they'll notify us same as any other school.

Thank god, I was worried of living in limbo while my admissions letter was used as a coaster for some Turkish mailman's glass of çay.
