So I contacted the assistant of the department at York, decisions have been made and she told me I was accepted and that I should be receiving the official letter by the end of this week. YAY!. Biginternational, are you waiting on the M.A or the phd? If it's the M.A, I would suggest emailing Jlenya Sarra-De Meo (jsarra@yorku.ca), I'm guessing she would probably let you know if you're in or out, since the decisions are made. I guess the department itself doesn't actually send out individual emails.

I spoke with one of the graduate admission officers at U of T. She seemed reluctant to tell me whether I was admitted or not, but she did say that all decisions had been made and that we should find out by the end of the week (by email or by Canada Post). Good luck!

I just spoke to U of T, they said that decisions haven't been made yet, and that responses would be sent out in the beginning of April. That's pretty crazy and weird, that you got a different response

Did anyone apply to Cambridge? They have a really nice faculty over there and have just realigned their Social and Political Science Faculty together with their International Studies School.

I got into the U of T MA with a 3500 graduate award. I met with the MA supervisor last week and she told me that they have a limited number of fellowships that they give out. She emailed me personally yesterday to say I'd gotten in but I haven't gotten any official email yet. Not sure if this info helps, but I'm IR/Comparative and am an American.

I got in Balsillie School (Waterloo) with full funding. They are taking in 15 graduate students this year (including both phd and masters)

Congratulations sam123. I got bounced from the PhD program -- disappointing but it's a competitive process. I had a solid application package but by no means a superstar pedigree. Are you MA or PhD, and out of curiosity can you give a general academic profile for comparison's sake?

Undergrad: Bachelor of Literature in English from abroad

Anyone hear anything from Queens, I don't think the status update method on their site is very helpful. It tells you that if you are accepted, your status will change to "offer" or "conditional offer", but they don't tell you anything about rejections. If you get rejected would it say rejected, or will the current "application complete" status remain. I think it would have been so much better if they had put "decision pending" like most other schools do. That way I'd have some idea about what's going on. The way it's currently set up, if you don't have an offer, the automatic default is a rejection but unfortunately, they don't confirm this in any way.

I know of two people whom have gotten offers from Queens last week, on Monday I think. One of them was for the Ph.D. and the other is the M.A.

Any fellow Toronto PhD admits receive their official offers via snail mail yet? I haven't yet, and am wondering if it is because I am on the opposite side of the country...

I'm waiting to hear from the joint Global Governance program at Waterloo/Wilfrid Laurier universities. Has anyone heard back from these people?

No, but when I called the admissions office they said all offers will be sent out during the last two weeks of March, if that helps.

Peace to you!

I am also waiting for result from Queens. I want to know is there anyone who has got an official rejection from them. Also, if i hear nothing from them until now, does it mean that i am probably rejected by them?

No some schools are still weighing their options in terms of first choices, students with funding, etc. I just called one of the schools I applied to today and they informed me that they had made some of their decisions but the mail outs should happen in at least 2-3 weeks.

I have heard of people being admitted to even the top schools between the months of April and August of the same school term they are starting.

Peace.
