meoffred Posted February 20, 2009 Posted February 20, 2009 Anyone going to IU Bloomington for Gender Studies?
LadyCoetzer Posted March 4, 2009 Posted March 4, 2009 Applied, but have yet to hear anything--am Int'l, so it might take awhile to hear back...doigts croises!
piccali Posted March 6, 2009 Posted March 6, 2009 Has anyone heard back? If so, when was your deadline? I feel like I've been waiting forever, even though the deadline was a month ago.
JKessler Posted March 12, 2009 Posted March 12, 2009 I was admitted to the IU graduate program in English Lit. Anyone going to the Admitted Humanities Students day on March 27th? -Jeff
ewurgler Posted March 16, 2009 Posted March 16, 2009 I am 90% sure I am headed to Indiana for sociology. Any other soc people out there?
zinexlove Posted March 31, 2009 Posted March 31, 2009 I am currently on the wait list at IU for the Gender Studies program and keeping my fingers tightly crossed. Anyone else hear anything from IU Gender Studies recently?
meoffred Posted April 2, 2009 Author Posted April 2, 2009 Hi zinexlove, I recently visited and accepted the offer at IU for Gender Studies. I was extremely happy with the department and university in general [not so much about IN as a place] but I think it will be great. I think you should hear soon about the wait list [since people will start accepting or rejecting their offers]. I will keep my fingers crossed for you too. Are you waiting to hear from any other place? I am currently on the wait list at IU for the Gender Studies program and keeping my fingers tightly crossed. Anyone else hear anything from IU Gender Studies recently?
zinexlove Posted April 6, 2009 Posted April 6, 2009 hey meoffred, IU is the last place I have to hear the final word from. I have other options, but of course, IU would be ideal. Keeping my fingers crossed in these last few days thanks.
Unco Posted April 14, 2009 Posted April 14, 2009 Headed to B-town for English Ph.D! Anyone else headed that way? I'm heading there from New Zealand for a math Phd. I think I might ask in the City Guide IU thread about living arrangements... I can't tell at the moment whether I'm more nervous or excited about such a big change!
obnoxiousmodesty Posted April 15, 2009 Posted April 15, 2009 I'm entering the Library Science program this fall! Though I have applied to the department of history to enroll in a dual degree program, I haven't ruled out letting history go and adding an archives or rare books specialization instead. Decisions, decisions, and they all are coming on too soon. As a native Hoosier, I'm really psyched to be continuing my education in my home state. Indiana isn't perfect but I love it.
synthla Posted April 15, 2009 Posted April 15, 2009 I'll be there for history this fall - excited to be returning to the midwest after splitting the last decade between east and west coasts, especially for such a great program. And also excited that it's so inexpensive to live there, since I have to get used to a very modest income again...
salimdmc Posted April 17, 2009 Posted April 17, 2009 hi everyone, anyone joining neuroscience Phd this year. I am going to join there. I don't know the place and department well ( i am from bangladesh ), can anyone help.
