And you got in, congrats !!  Now I am nervous .. I didn't get the invite hahahah.  Applied to MPH Health Promotion though.. *the anxiety onsets*  :)

any one has updates from Guelph ???

Catchsameh, I am also waiting to hear back from Guelph but I don't think enough time has passed for them to have efficiently reviewed our applications.

I just found out that I was department recommended for UofSaskatchewan. That was super fast. Waiting for 4 more schools. Congrats to everyone else for getting accepted.

Hi Dentist2013, what does your application say under decision? Mine last week said to contact the department and that a decision was made. I contacted them but they said a decision had not been made. I applied at the beginning of March and now it says department recommend.

Good luck to you and you should hear back soon I'm sure!

Great :) We applied to the same programs. But I only applied to UAlberta and Usask. Goodluckkk :) In your opinion, which do u prefer better -> the USask or UAlberta?

Ualberta SPH is accredited by CEPH. That means a lot.But the MPH program @ usask seems to be more organised judging from their course modules...and usask seem to have good connections for pracricum. Try to read reviews on both schools. At one point Ualberta was my top choice, buh it now appears to be SFU, because SfU MPH program is accredited by CEPH, d program includes opportuniy for thesis and practicum, amongst others. Send me a private message, and we'll talk more. Nice to meet you

I applied to Usask in January, but my complete supporting documents was received March 20th. My online portal shows decision made, contact admissions office. I did email them, they said I'll know of d decision by april. Is that normal? Did your portal first show decision made, before dept recommended?

I applied in the first week of February, and all the supporting documents were received by Feb 26th. My application status still says 'complete ready for review'. I guess everyone on this forum who had applied to Usask have had their status changed. Is this a bad sign?

So I just called and confirmed my acceptance to U of T Epi. Good luck to all and maybe see you in Toronto in the Fall! If anybody is looking for a roommate, I'm starting to look soon!

Congratulations! What is the status on your online application? Has it changed recently?

Edit: I saw an earlier post where you mentioned your status has already changed to Decision made.

It still says Decision Made. I am fairly certain it will only one of the two statuses, under review or decision made.

Hi Dentist2013, mine was the same as yours. Decision made, and then it said contact the department. I called and they said they have not yet made a decision. Then where it says decision, it turned into "dept recommend" yesterday i believe. I do have a bit of a unique undergrad experience so they asked me a couple of questions when I called. I was surprised that they knew so much about my application but made me feel great that they thoroughly look at the applications.

Keep us posted when you hear back!

Thanks! How does your friend like the program? Any idea what job prospects are like after graduation? (Not necessarily specific to Alberta grads, but in general?)

She really likes her program there. She says the department is small but she likes it that way still. For her practicum she'll be working with Public Health Ontatio doing some health equity work. Job prospects vary really. It all depends on the individual, most aim to get practicum opportunities where they will like to work after grad. That way, you would already have made some connections. But apart from that, working with the government, the UN, NGO's , academia and some go into medical school still after. So it's more of a personal journey. Hope this helps.

No problem. It was just a question to explain a bit about the undergrad program I just graduated from. It is a small and unique program so they just wanted to know what exactly the program entailed.

Ok thanks alot. I hope and pray to get through as I have applied to UoS only. I completed my undergrad in 2012 only and I have just 1 year experience. So I am quite tensed. And moreover my application is same from past 2 weeks "decision made"

I have also completed my undergrad in 2012 with one year of clinical experience. I applied in Feb and the status of my application is still 'complete ready for review'. It's kinda scaring me now
