ElusiveMuse
Who is giving you what amount of money? Where is the faculty most involved with your interests in the field? Where do you want to live?
bhdy7030
Who is giving you what amount of money? Where is the faculty most involved with your interests in the field? Where do you want to live? Thank you for your question, I've considered some of those questions. Location: NYU:Poly is in NYC. NJIT is not bad, not far from NYC. So I think maybe there is more opportunity to find jobs in NY. Syracuse is not in urban, but SU has better reputation than the others. Academic: I'm not sure which one is better between POLY and Syracuse U. Ranking: POLY CS ranked 72 in USNEWS , NJIT CS 100+ Syracuse CS 60+

You need a place having more intern positions, and part time jobs.

I might actually say the opposite - it's likely easier to live in Syracuse on less money. In NYC you're going to be paying a lot just to live there, let alone tuition. Though Poly just merged with NYU and became "NYU:Poly"... ok,I don't know....

lb1997
I currently go to NYU Poly and I'm thinking about transferring out. It's really easy to get into, but the classes are hard enough to make you fail. Well I guess it depends on your major. And your professors make a huge difference as well. Otherwise, if you dorm, you can wake up 10 min before your class starts and get to class on time on the small campus and it's very diverse. Just some of the classes blow. And even though it's a technology school, we are sometimes left to suffer with no wifi (go figure).
