I received an email from the program director where I earned my masters about serving on the search committee for a new faculty member. I served on an earlier search committee and included that experience in my first application. Is it worth it to reach out to admissions to let them know I have been asked to serve a second time?

My application is over six weeks old and I've already added a research acceptance to my file. If it will help, that's one thing, but if its too menial I'd keep it to myself.

I wouldn't. While that's a great experience, you already have one of those on your resume. I would only let them know if you had a paper published, are presenting at a conference or something like that.

Good luck! Hope you get that acceptance soon!
