lonewarrior1 Posted January 24, 2013 Posted January 24, 2013 I received an email from the program director where I earned my masters about serving on the search committee for a new faculty member. I served on an earlier search committee and included that experience in my first application. Is it worth it to reach out to admissions to let them know I have been asked to serve a second time? My application is over six weeks old and I've already added a research acceptance to my file. If it will help, that's one thing, but if its too menial I'd keep it to myself.
HigherEd2013 Posted January 25, 2013 Posted January 25, 2013 I wouldn't. While that's a great experience, you already have one of those on your resume. I would only let them know if you had a paper published, are presenting at a conference or something like that. Good luck! Hope you get that acceptance soon!
