So... Penn has released its decisions. Any lucky acceptances? And does anyone know if historically they release their rejections significantly later than their acceptances?

I had the same question in mind, since I haven't heard from them and my application status is still the same. It scared me when I saw 3 results from Upenn one after the other. I don't think I'll be able to sleep tonight until I know something  :(

~*~*~losing my mind~*~*~

Hi there. I swoop in here unannounced and ask questions about Brown. That's about it.

I do hope you hear from them, Rose Egypt. U-Penn is indeed sending mails out but who knows, maybe it's field by field. All the best... :|

I was waitlisted by Toronto. Are you a Canadian or a non-Canadian? I'm waiting for the decisions of non-Canadians.

I'd like my Brown decision any minute now...

Same thing for Emory...someone marked themselves as having been rejected earlier in the month, and someone had an interview invite back in Jan.

I feel as if they never even received my application.

Hi yeah one of them is me. Haven't been very (read: at all) active on these threads previously, because my response to stress is to hole up in a corner. Anyway it was a v. kind e-mail to be followed by a phone call and official (snail-mail) acceptance letter, and an accepted students' weekend in late March.

I second this entire post. Tough decisions ahead....

Where else have you been accepted, and what are your thoughts on Penn? (For the record: I'm on the waitlist at Minnesota and am still waiting for a final response from Duke, after 2 rounds of interviews and a visit there last week; Penn is thus my first unambiguous "yes".)

The other unequivocal 'yes' was Chicago. Two rounds of interviews?! That sounds very stressful. I'm about 99% certain I will choose Chicago, but Penn does look like a superb program, and I feel like I should at least go to their recruitment weekend to meet people and case the joint before I make the final decision. Are you planning to go?

It was stressful! And yes, I'm certainly going to the recruitment weekend; in any case I live in PA so it's an easy trip. As to choices, I'm still not sure; I work on Marxism and critical theory so Duke is in some ways a natural fit, but Pennsylvania has a lot going for it as well. Decisions, indeed...

Has anyone heard from Princeton? Does anyone have information with regard to their admissions process?

I haven't. Hopefully we'll hear from them by next Friday.

Has anyone heard anything from GC CUNY or Rutgers?

Hi (I am newish but...). I got unofficially accepted into Rutgers's comparative literature program over the phone last week. I think, though, that they are still in the process of sending out notifications/interviewing now, judging from what the DGS told me when I talked to her again this week.

Good luck with both!

Is anyone still waiting for Upenn comp. lit? Do you know if they send e-mail for rejections too? Or they will choose to send letters? So cruel !!!

I'm still waiting... Wish they would send all decisions at once.

Thanks! Congratulations! I will check the status of my application and hope for the best...

Have you tried to contact them? I e-mailed them a few days ago but they didn't respond.

Have you heard from any of your programmes?

Rejected by Northwestern. Waitlisted by Toronto. Five more TBD. I'm impatient :-)

Anybody there??? Why Upenn suddenly appeared yesterday then suddenly disappeared??? I already e-mailed them last week and I don't think it's a good idea to e-mail them again. I'm very hopeless after receiving my first rejection from UT today. What can I do? Waiting gets harder and harder every second.

Hello, I have a question for you all: how do you consider CUNY for Comparative Literature compared to other schools? Thanks. Red&Blue

It hurts so much to be rejected by your first choice. And they don't even bother to e-mail  :(

Hi Rose Egypt. I'm in a similar situation to you. I e-mailed the program coordinator regarding an issue with my app a few days ago, though, and I got an automatic message saying that everyone will be notified by March 15.... let's hold on to that thread of hope together.

Anyone want to claim the Oregon acceptance on the results board? I applied there but haven't heard back. Another silent weekend is coming...
