yslisu Posted March 5, 2013 Posted March 5, 2013 I checked my email this morning and found another rejection letter. I applied for 4 graduate schools this year and three of them have denied my application and the only one left is the best among all, so I'm not expecting offer anymore and decide to turn my internship contract into a job contract. I don't feel sad at all because I sort of believe in destiny. Hope every one good luck in the application x
Monochrome Spring Posted March 5, 2013 Posted March 5, 2013 Congratulations on your job contract, and good luck if you choose to reapply.
daydreamer254 Posted March 5, 2013 Posted March 5, 2013 (edited) I'm sorry you were rejected, but congrats on the job and that you aren't too down about it. But you do have one more school to hear back from... Edited March 5, 2013 by daydreamer254

I was in the same exact situation several years ago, only I had applied to 5 grad schools and had gotten 4 reject letters. The last one was Chicago, my top choice. They ended up giving me an offer to MAPSS, with partial funding. You never know!! Congrats on the job!
Reatha Posted March 5, 2013 Posted March 5, 2013 I'm currently in the same boat. I applied to 9 school, I've been rejected to 5, told I'm probably going to be rejected from 1 and I'm still waiting to hear from the other 3. I should know about one of the others this week. After having so much bad luck, I'm still hopeful but its not looking good. I currently have an internship and if things keep going like this I'll also turn it into a job. I will reapply next year if I don't get in. The good thing about having a job now means in a 9 months when you start filing out applications again your application has completely changed. Good luck and keep your head up.

I'm in the same boat and am looking at what resoucres can now be redirected towards my career. Do you think you will reapply next year?
