obeseman
Topic says it all. Full funding for both. I have a slight preference for systems stuff which purdue is better at, but Yale has the Yale name and a much better location.
Raoliteri
Yale! Location matters too, and I doubt that Purdue even for systems stuff would be drastically better than Yale, maybe marginally so, but in terms of future prospects for jobs or the academia, I'd opt for Yale. obeseman
Purdue is for example very well known for security though. How do you know yale is better? The rankings I've seen have purdue higher than yale usually or equal.
epsilon
Overall name recognition matters very little when talking about a specific field. Keep that in mind and look for research match/an area/ cohort you would be happy in. Edited March 15, 2013 by epsilon nope
nope
I would vote for Yale just based on what I know about both schools, but like epsilon said, that hardly matters. Honestly, if money is in no way an issue, it really depends on how well your research matches. If you'd be better served going to Purdue, go there.
