UIUC (MS) vs European University (PhD)

Hi 

 

I got into UIUC for MS in statistics program and also got Erasmus Mundus Fellowship to pursue PhD in Computer Science. Which one do you think will be good for getting good positions in software industry? I already have an MS degree in Computer Science (from an average university). Your suggestions are appreciated!

It depends. Obviously a Computer Science PhD is much better.

But if you want to focus on data mining, AI or machine learning - then some statistics programs are great as well.

 

I would go with to program that offers the better funding.
