Eugene Wang Posted March 29, 2013 Posted March 29, 2013 I have got admitted to MS program in EE in Cornell and Umich. I planned to work in the U.S. after acquiring the MS degree. Need some help in deciding which program to choose.
compiler_guy Posted March 29, 2013 Posted March 29, 2013 If you are only looking at ranking, check: http://grad-schools.usnews.rankingsandreviews.com/best-graduate-schools/top-engineering-schools/electrical-engineering-rankings?int=grad-specialty-engineering You need to specify what other parameters are important to you, like program's cost, cost of living in university area, social stuff and so on.
budgie Posted April 1, 2013 Posted April 1, 2013 Look into factors like: 1. Proximity to industry, 2. Tuition fees, 3. Cost of living, 4. Length of Program, 5. Number of students expected to matriculate (I'd imagine the class size at UMich is much larger than at Cornell), 6. Your gut feeling.
compiler_guy Posted April 1, 2013 Posted April 1, 2013 If you are planning to do research in MS, you should check out potential advisers as well
