samen Posted March 10, 2014 Posted March 10, 2014 I received a generic e-mail on March 6th. I don't think I'm overqualified by any means... CMU has a top notch OR program. I think some things in my personal statement and academic history probably didn't align very well with CMU's program. Congratulations on all of those great admits. Finally, which school will you attend?!

As it is shown below, I have been admitted to some schools in management and some other schools in Industrial Engineering. Should I accept the offer from UCSD and finalize this application season? Thanks Is there a benefit to responding earlier? Otherwise, I would just wait to hear back from your other schools -- maybe they will offer funding packages that you won't want to turn down.

I went to the weekend and it was pretty fun but it seemed like a lot of the faculty were applied or doing things more in line with what I would call Industrial Engineering. However the guy I'd be working with is a total boss who does exactly what I want to do. Am I overthinking it? I'm waitlisted at Columbia but I'm not even sure if I should be waiting? I get the impression they're a little more OR focused but then theres all the financial junk plus they waitlisted me :/ I don't know, I wanna make a decision and get it over with

I can start visa process earlier and avoid any risk arisen from a long clearance . . .
