Waitlisted at UMSL yesterday. FIT also sent news that partial tuition remission would be given, but they are still working on the budget, so I don't know what the exact amount is as of yet. I also can't wait to hear ODU's offer... Their funding is apparently outrageously good.

I'm still banking on SLU, UGA, Auburn, or one of the spots opening at UCF though. Let me know if anyone's not planning on taking their UCF offer! :)

I got waitlisted at UMSL as well. I've received an offer from UCF and I plan to accept most likely. If you don't end up getting into UCF, sorry if I'm the one responsible!

Anyone heard from Auburn or Texas A&M yet? I see there is a rejection from A&M, anyone get any positive news yet??

I emailed my POI at A&M earlier today to check in about the status of things there.  If I find out anything, I'll update you guys.

EDIT: I should note, I'm waiting to hear from Auburn too.

Did either of you apply to the Master's program as well? Thanks.

With my rejection, I was asked if I wanted to apply to the master's program, and I said yes.

Small update for those waiting on Texas A&M!  I was informally rejected by my POI, but she did mention that they haven't finalized their class for fall yet.  So they are still working things out over there!  Good luck to everyone else hoping for something positive out of there! :)

Just got off the phone with Dr. Fan at Auburn. He will not be taking any students this year because of funding restraints but Dr. Michel and Dr. Svyantek will each be taking one new student.

Hey guys!

I'm glad I found this forum. It's good to know I'm not the only one out here. I've applied to:

University of Tulsa - rejected from PhD program but was offered a spot in the Masters program

University of South Florida - rejected

University of Central Florida - rejected

University of Missouri St Louis - no news

Saint Louis University - no news

Colorado State University - no news

So I've been hearing that people are getting acceptances and rejections from CSU and UMSL but I haven't heard anything back from them. I'm not sure if I should contact them or just wait? What do you guys think? :/

Hello, I also got rejected at UCF, admitted for the Masters at the University of Tulsa and I am currently waiting to hear back on my status at UMSL. I have not heard of anyone being accepted at UMSL yet (perhaps someone can correct me if I am wrong?), but I have seen multiple people say they are wait listed there. I actually emailed UMSL a few hours ago to see if they could update me on if I am still being considered or if they have chose to go in another direction. I will send you a private message if I hear anything back. I wish you the best of luck with the process, try to stay positive, no matter what you have an offer, I am sure others will come:)!

Yeah, do let me know if you hear back from them. Thanks for all the encouragement and I wish you all the best and more! :D

Hi all,

I just wanted to correct myself on something I said awhile back. DePaul did not actually send out acceptances earlier this month like I had said. They were behind this year and just got around to it this week. If you're still waiting to hear from DePaul, there may still be hope.

Sorry about that.

I think that is awesome!!! 1,000,000 congrats on that. That feeling must be ineffable!

Thank you so much!!! It does feel great, especially because I thought I was going to have to wait until closer to April 15th to hear back from them! and I reallyyy wanted to be somewhere warm. Good luck to you with your applications!

Yes, I received a wait list email from them a few days ago. They have funding for 3 students this year and received 73 applications.

University of Nebraska - accepted, full funding

University of Oklahoma - offered interview, declined

Wayne State - waitlisted

DePaul - waitlisted

Bowling Green - waitlisted

University of Akron - no info, assume rejection

University of Minnesota - no info, assume rejection

University of South Florida - rejected

[edit - I thought I'd post everywhere I'd heard back from, even though info is in results section]

I still have not heard anything from DePaul, I'm assuming I'm rejected since acceptances and waitlist notifications have gone out already.  Following Arseni's example, here is my list of schools and their statuses as of now.

Penn State - accepted, full funding

Baruch College/CUNY - accepted, full funding

University of Houston - accepted, full funding

Colorado State - rejected

Texas A&M - informal rejection, I had emailed my POI

Portland State - no info, assuming rejected

DePaul - no info, assuming rejected

Auburn - no info, assuming rejected

Does anyone know if the following schools have made their final decisions?

Rice University

Clemson University

University of Houston

Virginia Tech

Heard from the director of program at Clemson. They have sent out their first round offers and professors have notified their alternates so if you haven't heard anything then it's probably not a good sign. He was very nice and said they would update the online portal within the next few weeks. Best of luck with the other universities!

What I do know is that Houston had an interview weekend and that they have extended some offers.  I don't know if they have extended all offers, nor am I sure if they have a wait list or not.

I got invited to the interview day at Louisiana Tech! I am planning on attending, is anyone else going?

Just got an email with details about a formal offer from UMSL (accepted off of the waitlist).

Visiting FIT on the 10th of this month, but as of right now, I'd probably choose SLU if they make me an offer. The visit was awesome. I honestly don't know how it escaped the list for program culture, etc. because it was top notch.

Roebuck, are you leaning towards FIT or Roosevelt? :) are you going to visit FIT any time before you make your decision?

I got accepted to UCF off of the waitlist today! :D

waitlist people keep hope!!

Congrats! :) I'm still crossing my fingers, but I'm so excited for you and tanneraustin! UCF looks like its program is pretty great.

I'm not really leaning one way or another right now because I haven't heard anything from FIT, with the exception of you're accepted. I'd like to hear something more about that funding "they might have" before evaluating FIT any further. If they can't offer me any funding ever then I'd say I'm leaning for towards Roosevelt because they are actually offering me SOME funding and it's closer to home/the city. Also not sure about visiting. That's probably not something they fund and I'd feel awkward asking lol. That being said, I still have 6 schools left to hear from. If any of them can beat the funding I've been offered already then I might not have a choice but to go there because I really don't want to be paying off loans.

Have you visited FIT/plan on visiting? If you did, how was it?
