Help required- Dilemma regarding Online Recommendation !

I would be grateful if anyone can give me a right solution to this one.

I need a bit of information regarding the online recommendation. My professors have written hard copies of recommendation letters with signature. So should I tell them to scan and upload the document or should they write in a non-letterhead word file and then upload in pdf format as the letter-head is only available in hard copy format, not in doc.

Should my recommenders directly scan and upload the hard copy that they had written before in official letterhead or should this be fine if they upload in non-letterhead without signatures ie, doc format?

Thanks in advance. :)

I would just send the LOR writers the appropriate weblink on where the LOR gets uploaded and let them decide what they need to do.  I used to write LOR's for high school students and the way it worked was they wanted a letter with minimal letterhead (basic identifiers) uploaded, and I filled in some boxes on where I taught / etc.  It might be different for graduate school, but none of my LOR writers complained about any problems such as a required letterhead or signature issue.  So either they already know how to get around it, or the LOR website tells them what is required.

Either way, it sounds to me like you're worrying too much about it.  Relax, there are much more important things to worry about than what is required as far as the file type or letterhead of the LOR.

Just my opinion.  :-)

Just give the school whatever it asks for. Connect party A to party B and offer to "assist" as needed.

The app I'm looking at right now just wants an emailed doc/pdf from the rec's instituitional email address. No mention of letterhead.

Thank you so much, Yeah I'm worried a bit, I found it way easier to get A+ on the toughest subjects back in undergrad years than applying to grad schools.

Two really helpful replies have relieved me a lot. Thanks again.
