Northern Arizona University (MS)

University of Montana (PhD)

Tulane (PhD)

Colorado State (MS)

UTEP (PhD)

Rice (PhD)

 

Here are my stats: 

gpa: 3.65

letters will be great

several notable departmental awards

No, there will not be a ton of math involved in my research, however it is a stem feild. Here is my math coursehistory(in college) It's an obvious week spot for me. I have a's in all my classes but a couple math or physics course.

Pre cal algebra-B

Pre cal trig- B

Cal 1- C

Cal 2-A

Cal. Based physics 1-B

Cal based physics 2-C

How did you score a 159 verbal, but not know how to spell ''weak''?

interesting you aced calc 2, and did meh in pre cal algebra(never heard of pre cal algebra or pre cal trig)

Seriously, no one here will know and is just guessing. Your score for math isn't bad, but it's not compelling for the sciences in general. You need to have very good grades, good essays, good recs... etc.. to have a chance in very competitive programs.

 

Good news for you is that most programs aren't nearly as competitive as people make them out to be. If you want to retake it, because you think you can do better (realistically, can you?) then do so.

 

Otherwise apply with what you've got and make the most of it. I've seen 290 as a combined minimum, other people have said they're seen 310 - so you are scratching at the borderline. Not every school even asks for a GRE though.
