NathanielSprouse
Hey everyone! Brand new here. I'm currently a college senior and looking to go to Divinity School in Nashville. I'm hoping for Vanderbilt. I'm in the application process and curious about my "stats." Some stats: GPA 3.68 overall. 3.71 in Political science, 3.51 in Latin American Studies. I'm a double major (above) with a minor in Portuguese language. My interests are New Testament Studies, missions, and theological education (becoming a professor) I have 2 months of experience in the mission field, 3 years of volunteer experience in my home church, and a couple years of independent collaboration for projects with my church. I have 5 really solid recommendations: an ex-seminary professor, a pastor who was a theological professor, 2 professors who know me well here at my home university, and an ordained deacon and church affiliate who has been around for all of my adult life. That's all the application requires, other than my SoP which I'm currently working on. Any help as far as admission goes?? Thanks guys!
NathanielSprouse
Also worth mentioning that I'll be pursuing an MDiv.
MBIGrad
As long as Segovia is there, your background will likely be very attractive to the program (capitalize on that and 'marginal readings' of the NT in your SOP). Unless you are applying for substantial funding, those stats are fine for any MDiv program.
Kleets712
You'll be fine for an MDiv - I even think you'll get generous funding at Vandy (80% range, maybe).
