DeafAudi Posted January 6, 2014 Posted January 6, 2014 I am applying to the University of Iowa, Syracuse, University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, Northern Illinois University, Pacific University, Missouri State University, University of South Alabama, East Tennessee State, Arizona State, and the University of Akron/Kent State. I know it's a lot, but I really want to make sure I get in somewhere.
earresponsible Posted January 6, 2014 Posted January 6, 2014 (edited) There is no such thing as "a lot" because this is YOU and you're going to get in somewhere! Are you done with your applications? We have two schools in common - Syracuse and Pacific. How funny would it be if we ended up in the same place? Edited January 6, 2014 by MrAuDguy
DeafAudi Posted January 6, 2014 Posted January 6, 2014 That would be awesome! haha. I'm only done a few applications but hope to have the others done in a couple of weeks. I'm lucky in that most of my deadlines are in February as I really started this process quite late. How about you? Â PS I say that it is a lot of schools because I don't want to annoy my LOR providers, but they have been very supportive and about half of the schools use CSDCAS, anyway.Â
earresponsible Posted January 6, 2014 Posted January 6, 2014 Mine are almost done. I'm waiting for CSDCAS to finalize my academic update with grades and I have one LOR that hasn't been submitted yet. Otherwise, the waiting game begins!
AuDorBust Posted January 8, 2014 Posted January 8, 2014 AuDguy, you were already admitted to a program? Where did you apply that lets you know so early?!
Sunday Posted January 9, 2014 Posted January 9, 2014 Nice I found this forum finally had time to look exactly for this!
earresponsible Posted January 10, 2014 Posted January 10, 2014 AuDguy, you were already admitted to a program? Where did you apply that lets you know so early?! Â Hi! Yes, I applied "early admission" to Texas Tech. The deadline was Nov 1.

I am wondering because I submitted mine and they contacted me already. Just thought you might want to know so you can submit yours sooner.
DeafAudi Posted January 10, 2014 Posted January 10, 2014 Oh wow, that is early! I will submit mine next week, then. When is your interview? I'm wondering if it comes before we find out from other schools.
earresponsible Posted January 10, 2014 Posted January 10, 2014 Oh wow, that is early! I will submit mine next week, then. When is your interview? I'm wondering if it comes before we find out from other schools. They offered two dates in March. So it is depends on when other schools release information. I'm assuming it will be a mixture of before and after.
earresponsible Posted January 10, 2014 Posted January 10, 2014 AuDguy, you were already admitted to a program? Where did you apply that lets you know so early?! Â Also, Salus University in PA does rolling admissions so applicants could know as early as October.
DeafAudi Posted January 10, 2014 Posted January 10, 2014 They offered two dates in March. So it is depends on when other schools release information. I'm assuming it will be a mixture of before and after. Â Cool! I wonder if they offer everyone interviews or only a select few.
RAud06 Posted January 10, 2014 Posted January 10, 2014 My friend applied to Pacificand she was also offered interview dates in March. Â I don't know much about the program to know how they do their interviews. I have two schools that do interviews so I'm trying to come up with a list of possible interview questions.
RAud06 Posted January 23, 2014 Posted January 23, 2014 I am applying to Tech too. I live in Louisiana. This is my number 1 choice. Afraid I'll be rejected though. Â I have also applied to LA Tech as well!
earresponsible Posted January 24, 2014 Posted January 24, 2014 Cool! I wonder if they offer everyone interviews or only a select few. Â From what I have heard, it seems to be that if you are qualified they want to interview you. It shouldn't go by number of applicants.

I believe it ranges from personal questions about you & also why you are interested in audiology and pursuing the profession.Â
RAud06 Posted January 24, 2014 Posted January 24, 2014 I believe it ranges from personal questions about you & also why you are interested in audiology and pursuing the profession. Thank you, that is what I was thinking the questions might be about as well. I'm just hoping to stay calm and not get to nervous lol
earresponsible Posted January 24, 2014 Posted January 24, 2014 Thank you, that is what I was thinking the questions might be about as well. I'm just hoping to stay calm and not get to nervous lol I'm sure you will do great! Do you know if your interviews would be on campus or phone?
RAud06 Posted January 24, 2014 Posted January 24, 2014 I'm sure you will do great! Do you know if your interviews would be on campus or phone? On is on campus and one is by phone. Do you have many interviews?
DeafAudi Posted January 24, 2014 Posted January 24, 2014 I actually haven't decided if I want to apply to Pacific...a part of me tells me that I should because I did bad on the quantitative GRE and they don't require the GRE. On the other hand, I applied to so many other programs that I should get in somewhere...there's also that I would have to spend the money to fly down for an interview (if I get offered one). Decisions, decisions.Â
SeaSpeech Posted January 24, 2014 Posted January 24, 2014 I have also applied to LA Tech as well! Have you heard anything? I'm so nervous! I have a friend who's there now and she said they had twice the number of applicants this year than last.

Decisions, decisions. Yeah, it's totally up to you. Also, it is an accelerated program (3 years instead of 4). So do you see yourself in a 4 year program or a faster paced one?
earresponsible Posted January 24, 2014 Posted January 24, 2014 On is on campus and one is by phone. Do you have many interviews? I had a phone interview and the rest of the list consists of on campus/phone. RAud06 1
