LMZ
Hey Everyone, I've been lurking this site for a while trying to see if others are in the same boat as me, but it was all pretty old info, so I figured I'd re-ignite a chat (hopefully) about applying to SLP programs. I should be sending everything off finalized in the next two weeks, but I am a Canadian student with one degree in Human Kinetics (university of Ottawa) and one in Communication Disorders from Utah State University (entirely online). My GPA is fairly strong, but I have yet to write the GRE test. I am wondering where other people are applying and if anyone can shed some light on me about the schools I'm applying to (moreso than what you can get from the websites) and any success stories would be nice to hear as well. Applying to: University of Washington (MedSLP), Boston University, Northwestern University, University of Toronto, and New York U, I have recently been eyeing Vanderbilt as well. any chats about the application process and schools are welcome!! hj2012
Hey Lisa! I'm not a SLP applicant, but you might get more of a response if you post in the Speech Language Pathology forum: http://forum.thegradcafe.com/forum/95-speech-language-pathology/ Best of luck on your applications. hopefulspeechie16
Hey Lisa, I'm basically in the same position as you though I'm applying next year. I'm planning to apply to the same grad schools in the US too and I'm from Canada. Just wanted to know what you took to fulfill the physical science requirement and biological science requirement? When did you take the GREs? Would love to keep in touch since there aren't too many Canadians here applying to the US for speech!
