Bibliography at end of writing sample?

My writing sample is a 20 page excerpt from a MUCH longer thesis (still in progress, actually).

Obviously the final bibliography would not be done for a while....

 

So do I give a bibliography for the sample I am sending? Does that count in the page count?

If you have the bibliography then you might as well include it. I wrote a 60 page thesis with 40-some citations and it only took up 3 pages, so I can't imagine that it would make any difference to consider it part of the page count or not.

I have not written the complete thesis. However, I feel that I would need to include a bibliography of the sources I reference because my writing sample includes primary sources that they might want to reference.

 

Perhaps I should footnote it to indicate this is not the final bibliography for the thesis???
