agent229 Posted February 20, 2014 Posted February 20, 2014 I was pretty sure Berkeley was not going to accept me, but it still stung a little to get the email to check the website... which I also just got... oh well!
statisticsfall2014 Posted February 20, 2014 Posted February 20, 2014 Is anyone still awaiting an offer from anywhere?
coffeehouse Posted February 20, 2014 Posted February 20, 2014 Is anyone still awaiting an offer from anywhere? Chicago, Stern, Johns Hopkins
CauchyProcess Posted February 20, 2014 Posted February 20, 2014 (edited) Is anyone still awaiting an offer from anywhere? Stanford, Columbia, UCLA, NYU Stern, UCI. At this point I think the only one I have any odds of receiving an offer from is UCI. Edited February 20, 2014 by CauchyProcess
StatPhD2014 Posted February 20, 2014 Posted February 20, 2014 Stanford, Columbia, UCLA, NYU Stern, UCI. At this point I think the only one I have any odds of receiving an offer from is UCI. Columbia has done their first round of offers, and i think has waitlisted others. Depending on the responses of its intial offers it might add to their waitlist or their offers
statisticsfall2014 Posted February 20, 2014 Posted February 20, 2014 Sweet, yeah I'm now waiting on NC state, Columbia, UCSB, and UCLA. Hopefully can get these sorted out soon. Anyone have any updates on these + the other remaining schools people mentioned?
Stat Assistant Professor Posted February 20, 2014 Posted February 20, 2014 Still nothing from Berkeley for me. Maybe I'll get a firm rejection by tomorrow though, LOL. I am still waiting for Rice, UConn, UNC-Chapel Hill, Berkeley, and UCLA. Nothing from UCLA, anyone? It seems they have had visitation days in the past (the second week of March).

Stat Assistant Professor Posted February 21, 2014 Posted February 21, 2014 Still nothing from Berkeley. Strange... To the person who is waitlisted at Berkeley: how were you notified of this? Did you contact the dept to find out? Thanks
mhnaomi Posted February 21, 2014 Posted February 21, 2014 I saw four rejections from Brown on the result page. Can anyone share how did you find out on the website? Were you at the recruitment day?

algtopABCD Posted February 21, 2014 Posted February 21, 2014 Has anyone who applied to the University of Virginia (Mathematics PhD) heard anything yet? Someone listed an acceptance a little over a week ago but nothing since then.

effhorses Posted February 21, 2014 Posted February 21, 2014 I'm still waiting on UCLA, Columbia, and Northwestern. I'm assuming Columbia will be a rejection, and I had a phone interview with Northwestern that went well so I'd guess I'll receive an offer. No idea what to think on UCLA.
