sfcmeador Posted January 20, 2014 Posted January 20, 2014 I am seriously think of working on another Masters degree but I have to go completely online. I am very interested in I-O Psychology but only a few schools really stick out; and are they reputable? Colorado State University offers online I-O as well as Kansas State....the third option that I am considering is The Chicago School of Professional Psychology's I-O program. Has anyone attended any of these programs? Is the Chicago school a legit program? Thanks in advance! Jim
Lisa44201 Posted January 20, 2014 Posted January 20, 2014 No, Chicago School is not. Why a second Masters? Why I/O? It can be difficult to get a job with a degree earned online; that said, K-State and Colorado State are both reputable brick-and-mortar institutions, so degrees from either will carry slightly more weight.
denimfan Posted January 21, 2014 Posted January 21, 2014 I'd strongly discourage you from getting an online degree, Chicago School especially.
ChiTownPsychChick Posted January 23, 2014 Posted January 23, 2014 I disagree with the statement "Chicago School isn't a school", however outside of a certificate I would not get anything else in online form from anywhere. Yes its a school ....... depending on the branch the programs are really good. I have two post masters certificates and am currently pursuing my PsyD at the Chicago branch of the Chicago School which is Great !!! If it was crap I would say so believe me. Don't believe everything u hear experience it for yourself and see what fits.

I applied for a PsyD program in clinical. Any advice you can give me about the interviewing? Could you tell me a little about what you like/dislike about the school? I chose to have the interview in person instead of over the phone so I could really see the school. I live in Florida so the move would be a big decision for me.
