sweatyhands Posted April 27, 2010 Posted April 27, 2010 just got the gumption to call SSRC re notification (how/when) and was told, rather awkwardly, that decisions were basically made and they were "in the process of notifying applicants." fellows will receive email notification, those less fortunate get letters the ole-fashioned way. no exact dates but it sounds like they basically know who is accepted and haven't got the info out yet...

Thanks for checking with them. I was trying to work up the courage to do it, but kept getting cold feet. I just had a horrible thought...what if no one on this forum or the polisci forum (http://www.poliscijobrumors.com/topic.php?id=21167&page=3&replies=7) get in, and we don't find out till we get our rejection letters?
penseesauvage Posted April 27, 2010 Posted April 27, 2010 I'M GOING INSANE I haven't been this ill at ease since applying to college 10 years ago lol
gradstu37 Posted April 27, 2010 Posted April 27, 2010 Sorry--I know this question is off topic--but I just found out that my NSF DDRIG proposal was "reassigned" and is now being considered by two programs. Any sense of whether that is a good or a bad sign in terms of my likelihood of getting funded? Again, I'm sorry for this off-topic question, but I can't seem to find an NSF DDRIG forum anywhere!

I think they do it because they think your proposal might be a better fit for that program. As far as how that helps you in terms of funding, I would assume that depends on the program requirements and criteria. I hope it works out, all the best!
