Anyone hear back from Northwestern IBIS program?

Hello,

I applied to F14 Northwestern University Integrative biological sciences program (IBIS). The due date for all applications was 12/15 and I submitted my app on THAT day.

I've been trying to find out the progress on the phone with the program assistant, but she says much of the application is still open.

Has anyone heard back from NU's ibis? I've looked through the forum and saw that not many people have heard back from NU's ibis program either.

It's my dream school and it's almost middle of February.. I am getting a little nervous right now.....

please help!

I didn't apply to that program but I had a question for you.  Did the assistant explain what was still open on the application?  Are they waiting on something from you or for some reason a GRE or transcript didn't get there?

Aside from that I'd say just to remain calm until you hear something you have no idea what is going on but at this point unless they are waiting for something from you there is not much to do but wait until you hear something.  Keep your hopes up because its the best strategy.

best!

What did the assistant mean by "open"? Are you missing materials from your application. Can you check your application?

what she meant was that the board has still yet to decide who will be accepted/rejected.

I did complete all my applications (all materials have been received by NU at this point for sure)

I'm confused. Did you interview? Or are you waiting to see if you will be interviewing?

I remember getting an email from Northwestern IBIS to check your status March 2014 if you haven't heard from them before hand.  I haven't heard of any interviews yet.  I would love to go to that school if it is possible.

I interviewed last Monday/Tuesday and was offered admissions today. I'd just like to point out that I was rejected two years ago (for fall 2012). I'm happy that I took those two years off and reapplied there. It's an amazing program and it was worth the hard work. If you guys don't have any offers to programs this cycle, consider strengthening your application (strong letters and more research) and reapplying.
