Flux2
So i've asked one of my professors for REU LOR and I received an email saying that he submitted a "strong" letter. What do you guys think "strong" imply? I sense some negativity..
ginagirl
I wouldn't worry at all- "strong" is probably one of the best adjectives that can be used to describe a letter.
ERR_Alpha
So i've asked one of my professors for REU LOR and I received an email saying that he submitted a "strong" letter. What do you guys think "strong" imply? I sense some negativity.. When my advisor said "strong" she basically talked about how I was one of the best students she's ever interacted with. (No idea if this is actually true...) But strong is very good!
Pacifico
Yes, you wouldn't want anything but a "strong" letter for an REU application- this implies nothing negative.
username1824
Why would you think "strong" implies something negative? elanorci and Monochrome Spring
Flux2
Because of the quotes around the word strong makes it feel like it and I mostly interacted with posdoc so just a little curious and skeptical on how he could have written a strong letter. obaka
He probably had the postdoc write the letter and then gave it a few finishing touches, which is totally normal. The quotes are a little weird but I'm sure he means well.
