applyingsoon Posted March 2, 2014 Posted March 2, 2014 Any overall thoughts on their PhD in education programs and overall comparisons at the universities? Any and all insight would be greatly appreciated!
iphi Posted March 3, 2014 Posted March 3, 2014 (edited) What about funding? I was also accepted to UNC SoE but will not be attending because the funding situation (at least for my department) is so dire. Edited March 3, 2014 by iphi
likemythesis Posted March 3, 2014 Posted March 3, 2014 I don't know much about the programs, but I am currently at UNC for undergrad, and I've heard many people say that as far as location, Charlottesville,VA is very much like Chapel Hill. I went on a bit in the CH City Guide thread, but most everything in Chapel Hill/Carrboro is very close and very college town~
minion.banana Posted March 4, 2014 Posted March 4, 2014 (edited) Most of the professors I've met in the Duke Ed department are UNC SoE grads! Edited March 4, 2014 by andrea.cristina
applyingsoon Posted March 4, 2014 Author Posted March 4, 2014 (edited) No word on funding from UNC - but full funding and a decent living stipend from both UVA and UF Edited March 4, 2014 by applyingsoon
JackOfStyle Posted March 5, 2014 Posted March 5, 2014 Hey for which specific ed concentration? You can PM me if you want. I applied to the same places.
