I'm in! Who's with me?!

Congrats! Did you do an interview with them last week? Also, were you offered any funding?

Posted

I'm in, too! I received a $10K Fellowship (to split across 4 semesters) for the MPP program. I was also admitted to the Masters of Applied Economics program, so I do have the option of doing a dual MPP/MAE with Michigan.

Michigan is probably my #4 choice right now behind Minnesota (Humphrey), Duke (Sanford), and Georgetown (McCourt). I'm planning on continuing on to an Economics PhD after my MPP. Minnesota and Georgetown would give me an opportunity to take great preparatory courses, while Duke is guaranteeing an Assistantship and solid funding.

Also, Michigan did not interview me before today's decision.

Yes, I did have a Skype interview last week. They offered me a full tuition fellowship and a stipend, so I'm probably going to Michigan :)

Accepted with a partial fellowship!  Not sure where I'm going to attend yet.  Still haven't heard back from two schools yet!

Admitted with a fellowship, too! It's not as much money as I would have liked, though, so I am unlikely to attend. Best of luck with your decisions, everyone!

In with full tuition and a stipend! I'm pretty excited! Also, had an interview. Maybe it was for the fellowship since Goobie had one as well, and received similar funding!

Prettye excited!

I was admitted with a 10k fellowship to the MPA. I also have an offer from Duke. Waiting to hear from NYU and UofT.

Congrats to the MPA admits.  I did not realize how much smaller the class size was in relation to MPP students.

"Our MPP program is the largest of the four admitting ~90 students per year; 6-12 students enroll in the MPA each year;"

I had no idea the class was quite that small!

Congrats to all! I got in today with a full tuition offer for my second year, so I suppose that comes to a half tuition fellowship over the 2 years of the MPP program. When I find out about Princeton and Georgetown's $ offer, I can finally make a decision.

Congrats, everyone! Did MPP with funding info get it in the acceptance email? Mine didn't mention anything, just that the financial aid office would be in touch...

I stopped by Ford on my way home today to talk with them. If you got funding it would be mentioned in the email. The only exception is if you were recommended for a university fellowship through Rackham. Those are awarded in October. Well, and they gave me a few grand for stopping by the office.

I'm in too!!! One of my dream schools, but no mention of funding in the email.

However, on UofM's Ford Funding Opportunities website it says "Fellowship award letters and emails will be sent a few weeks after students are admitted." Does this mean there are multiple rounds of offers? I was expecting at least some kind of tuition remission!

I spoke with them today, and was told that funding/fellowship information comes separately and we should be notified within the next couple of weeks (contrary to what notmike was told above). I got into the MPP program -- maybe MPP and MPA were done differently?

My understading is that at many places additional funding opportunities open up once you're in.

I just declined my offer of admission to University of Michigan so this should open up a spot for someone on the waitlist.

I was also accepted, but I was only offered a $10k fellowship, which covers a really small fraction for someone with out-of-state tuition. So, yeah, I will open up an additional spot for wait listed students once I officially decline.

I have a friend who goes to Ann Arbor, and she says she loves it!

Same position as the two previous posters--hopefully the funding they offered me ($20,000/yr) can go back in the pot.

pavlik, I'm hoping for a bunch of Ford admits like you! I accepted without funding but on the hope that funding might trickle down to me once people decide to go elsewhere.

***Fingers crossed***
