MA religious studies, U Indiana Bloomington or U Syracuse

Hi,

I've been accepted into both programs with funding. I'm a Chinese, so not very familiar with both universities. Does anyone here know about the respective strength/emphasis/atmosphere/character of each program? Thank you very much for any imput.

Both Indiana University and Syracuse University are great! I believe that IU is slightly better for your field. Are they offering any scholarship or money? IU has a beautiful campus (i have a friend doing a PhD there, and a few friends visited there). The weather in Syracuse is a little bit harsh. It's up to personal preference if money isn't a problem.

Thanks HKsai! Yes Indiana is slightly more prestigious. Both programs are fully-funded, though at IU it is an TAship, while SU offers a fellowship without any work required. Perhaps I'd better go to Syracuse, which allows more time to build up my knowledge base (there must be lots of reading in English and I'm a slow reader). Anyway, thanks!
