stilesg57
May it rest in peace till next year. I'm just bummed I didn't find out about it until the last half of March!
zourah
eh, we should all mark our calendars to return late next February to provide moral support for our successors - and to share whatever wisdom we've picked up in the interim. for now though, there's not much to commiserate about, so yeah, have a good summer to everyone, I suppose. Cornell07
I wish there was a way to lock some of the more helpful treads at the top of the page, such as the "final decisions" thread. With about 25 respondents, it is a sufficiently large sample size to give most applicants a means to compare their own stats to people who have been admitted and gauge their chances. I would have killed to have had that thread during my admissions process.
younglions
I'll probably randomly check the board and look for opportunities to champion WWS... Got to protect the value of my degree! In all seriousness, I will return next year--posters like xnormajeanx really added a lot to the board this year with their insights into programs. If there are a few everyone agrees are worthwhile, I bet we could get someone's attention to help with the administrative side. Which threads did you have in mind? If there are a few everyone agrees are worthwhile, I bet we could get someone's attention to help with the administrative side. Which threads did you have in mind? Two ideas: 1) A general jumping off information thread that is stuck at the top with links to the threads for the various schools and links to the threads below. 2) Just stickies for the more generally useful threads such as: * GradCafe: Networking and Beyond - viewtopic.php?f=15&t=17964 * Poll: What Work Experience Do You Have? - viewtopic.php?f=15&t=15148 * Which Gov't Affairs Areas Do You Plan to Study in G School? - viewtopic.php?f=15&t=15142 * I'm going to ______________ and this is why! - viewtopic.php?f=15&t=13797 * Wrapping It All Up: Int'l Relations -- Final Decisions? - viewtopic.php?f=15&t=16905
zourah
I agree that those look like good topics. Anyone else have other nominees before I try and find a mod willing to help sticky a few?
golonghorns
anyone think they will be active in the "officially grads" board? it really should be expanded with subforums and i may consider it. what about yall?

40404
I used to check this site like 10 times daily. hahaha. Yes, it has been an integral part of applicants' daily lives... indeed so boring now
golonghorns
i know right 040404! i really wish the creators had done a better job of making it more relevant to after the app process as well...
junebug62
Well its hard to get anything done with applications when schools don't even post them until September. And the school year hasn't started yet so we can't ask the newly accepted folks how its going. We could commiserate about GRE cramming, which is what I should be doing right now...
