robinsoncrusoe
I'd like to find a graduate program in international studies with a focus on Asia. Are there any MA programs out there similar to maybe UCSD's IRPS?
RCtheSS
Perhaps look into the University of Denver's Korbel School of International Studies: http://www.du.edu/korbel/programs/masters/index.html
zadigblue
If you're willing to look outside the US, UBC in Vancouver has a pretty well-known Master of Arts in Asia Pacific Policy Studies (MAAPPS). However, it looks like they're transitioning the MA into an MPP with an Asian focus (pdf), so if you apply for 2015, you'd be in an MPP rather than an MA. leon32
It probably depends on what in specific you want to study about in terms of Asia. Most international relations schools have at least a few good professors on Asia, even if they don't offer an Asia specific degree, or they might have an Asia concentration. thevillagersid
Take a look at Yale. Jackson allows students to design their own concentrations, and if you know that you're interested in Asia it would be very easy to put together a concentration with a regional focus. You would have access to courses in all the other graduate departments on campus to choose from. Offerings on China and Japan are especially good. Kosmosis707
I'd like to find a graduate program in international studies with a focus on Asia. Are there any MA programs out there similar to maybe UCSD's IRPS? I'm also seeking out IS/IR programs focused in Asia and have done some research. I think it would help to know your career aim and if you have a specific area of Asia you're looking at (i.e. East Asia, Southeast Asia, South Asia, etc). Generally speaking, there are a ton of programs to choose from if you're looking at the "heavy hitters" like China or Japan.
ReinventOneself
John Hopkins University's School of Advanced International Studies has great China and Japan resources.
