SOP length for UPenn and Brown?

Hi all, is anybody applying to the Psychology Phd program at UPenn and Brown? Do you know what's the SOP length? I could not find that info anywhere.

I would just do standard length, like ~1.5 pages or so. I would email them just to check though!

I'm applying to Brown and making mine 2 pages - which seems to be the limit for most programs. They didn't even give a length for the WS, but when I asked they just said "just as long as it's not 100 pages", ha!

I'm applying to UPenn's clinical program, and I'm keeping my SOP at the standard 2-pages (12-font, Times New Roman, single-spaced), as suggested by clinical psychology grad students at my undergraduate program.

Thank you guys! I was wondering because some programs give a 1000 word limit (1.5 pages single spaced) or 2 pages single spaced limit, while others (e.g. NYU and Rutgers) give a 500 words limit, that's half of that. It seems that the consensus is to go for a longer statement in case nothing is specified.

 

Last minute update: I just got back from Brown:

Two pages (single spaced, readable font) is what I recommend — anything longer invites readers to skim and look only at keywords.

 

And UPenn:

There is no maximum length, other than the system won't allow files that are too big to be uploaded. Usually the statement is 2-3 pages in length.

Yeah, I applied to Penn with my standard (ish) 1.75 page SOP.
