daisydukes Posted December 9, 2014 Posted December 9, 2014 The personal statment prompt for SJSU statesIn the autobiographical statement (maximum 2,000 words or 8 pages), What if my 8 pages exceed 2,000 words ? is it still okay since it doesn't go over 8 pages? im confused
adacot Posted December 9, 2014 Posted December 9, 2014 I am also confused about this because for Hunter College's MSW application it says 500-1000 words with a 5 page maximum; however, 5 double spaced pages with Times New Roman and 1-inch margins is more than 1000 words.
zenkat Posted December 9, 2014 Posted December 9, 2014 daisydukes, in my unprofessional opinion, I would pay more attention to the word count than the page count. The number of pages can vary by how the document is displayed (the device it is viewed on, the font, the formatting) but the word count stays constant. That's just my two cents, though.
