I was admitted to CSULB's 1 year program... being that you went there for undergrad, how are the SW professors there?

Congrats! I just looked and got accepted to. However, I'm probably going to go to CSULB as I'm not too fond of chico's area.

I was accepted into CSULB's 1 year program, and I plan on attending, however I've never been to LB before or the campus. You said you went there undergrad? How is area, are there a lot of things to do? Are you aware of any student apartments in the area?

I received a call from Liz, I didn't get into my program of choice due to then reducing the number of slots (the 1 year) so she offered me a few options, none of which I was interested in. So I will be accepting LB's offer of admission. So my spot will open up for someone else! Good luck~

Yeah I was referring to LB's program. I called the school's fin aid office though and she said that there are summer loans available. I think the Direct Stafford Loan & The Graduate Plus Loan. She said I'd have to get the application from their office, but I'll also look for scholarships as well.

No I mailed it on Feb 7th, and it was received by them on the 9th. (I know this because I put tracking on it to know when it was delivered). I received an email by them the next day on the 10th, saying that it has been received, and letting me know that i can check the status through the self service website. I think you should have gotten a confirmation email by now though. You should call and check.

Yes, they rollover funds from Fall/Spring into summer if students have not exhausted all of their funds, but if I didn't apply for financial aid (wasn't in school) last school year 2014-2015, I would think I would be able to get aid in the summer correct?

I got into Long beach this year, can you tell me about your experience there?

Does Financial aid give loans for the summer? For example, if a MSW program starts in the summer.

For those who attend Full time programs, do people work during their time in an MSW program? (Those who don't receive a TITLE 4E or Mental Health stipend ) If you don't work, do you use loans to help pay for your housing and tuition? Do you know of any popular scholarships that I could apply to?

It was in this post where I asked her Cali_Coasst I also emailed the grad assistant for SdSU and she said we'd hear back by the end of late march.

I hope so. But another person on this forum already received an acceptance letter from them on 1/29 and she applied on 12/1. I didn't apply too much longer after that.
