asdghasdghsjdgas Posted December 11, 2014 Posted December 11, 2014 I might be reading too much into things, but can you generally take it as a good sign if one of the notable professors from the department you're applying to adds you on LinkedIn? Or just a sign that they were interested enough to look you up?

iphi Posted December 11, 2014 Posted December 11, 2014 Could be good! However, I had this happen to me, and I ended up being rejected. Turned out the POI I applied to liked me but the rest of her department didn't conform with her research interests and voted to take a different student.
