I had a nice little Excel spreadsheet with all my grad school application info regarding deadlines, supplemental materials, etc. I had to stagger out the application process because there was no way I could afford to spend the $600 on all the application materials at one time. Unfortunately, I switched around two of the due dates so that I put PSU's due date as January 1st and Vermont's due date as January 15th. So now I have missed the due date for the supplemental application (the GRE and CSDCAS have been submitted) and it is too late to send it in as it is no longer an option online. I feel so stupid and I wasted a good amount of money on only a partial application! Plus I was really interested in going to the school :(

Sorry to hear this! Everything happens for a reason though maybe you were meant to go to a different school. Keep your head up!

*hugs* I'm so sorry to hear this! Try to be confident in the programs you did apply to, and know that you'll end up where you're meant to be.

Best of luck!

I'm so sorry! Please give yourself a break and try not to endlessly beat yourself up about it -- you don't deserve that!

I made a mistake too and now I doubt that one of my transcripts will reach CSDCAS in time, so, short of a miracle, UO is out for me. My point being that you're not the outlier here. We're all human.

Je croise les doigts pour toi!  :)

Don't feel stupid! Mistakes likes this happen to everyone! I came across a university whose program I am in love with, but I came across them late in the game. I thought I was good because they used CSDCAS, so I didn't think about it too much, but it just occured to me Friday that I forgot to send in my GRE scores to CSDCAS for that school, and they have a deadline of the 15th. My scores won't reach on time, but I'm taking a chance and submitted it anyway...

Did you contat the university to explain the situation? The worst they can do is tell you that you're out, and nothing changes. You had all the really important stuff in before the deadline, and the supplemental application is often just a formality and for financial aid purposes. It doesn't hurt to ask to know for sure.

The worst part is the money. :( I know that feeling. I had to borrow money just to apply because these costs add up. Still. you're not stupid! This is unfortunate, but you're applying to other schools you (hoprefully) like, and you'll get in to one of them and this will seem so unimportant then! Good luck with the rest of your schools!

I screwed up with a deadline too. University of South Carolina's deadline is January 1st and my last professor hadn't submitted the letter of rec until December 31st. Once she submitted it I was able to click submit on my CSDCAS application. Only after I submit it do I find out that the application needs to be verified by January 1st. As of today it is still not even verified. So that sucks. I would have submitted it way earlier too if my professor hadn't waited til the last minute on it. And that was the same professor who submitted one of my letters of rec late last year.

Sucks that you missed the deadline but don't beat yourself up about it! Happens to the best of us. :)

As everyone said, don't beat yourself up about it! With as much is required just to apply to graduate school, it seems like a miracle when there aren't mistakes made! I almost found myself in a similar situation. I had taken ONE lower level math class at a community college a long time ago, and I thought I could get by without sending the transcript with the one class to all my programs. It was a class I did not put toward my degree or anything, I just wanted experience. I was hoping they wouldn't find this record so I could save money from sending another transcript with one course all over (bad idea).  Well, they somehow found the credit and told me they needed the transcript and this was on Thursday last week. My due date for one of my programs is tomorrow so I had been having a panic attack waiting to see if it arrived on time. I literally was just informed of it arriving an hour ago. One day before the deadline.

I think it's a miracle if everything with apps goes smoothly. I have had so many hiccups with my applications with letters of recc getting lost, transcripts never arriving, unorganized grad programs...

If you sent your transcripts in late to CSDCAS, try to give them a call! Mine never made it from Utah State and they accepted a faxed transcript so I could make the deadline :)
