bbdd2 Posted February 22, 2015 Posted February 22, 2015 My dream school (which I still haven't heard from) sent someone else's admission letter and funding details to my email. The same program. They could only apologize. Felt crushed. Called the department thinking my own letter was also sent to the person's email? The grad coordinator said decisions hadn't been taken. Weird!!
columbia09 Posted February 22, 2015 Author Posted February 22, 2015 Does the result search have results for your type of degree and your field and your school's yet? Yes a couple of people heard back from some of my schools
Zoethor2 Posted February 22, 2015 Posted February 22, 2015 I have applied to 7. Haven't heard from any of them. No interview call no nothing. Recently found out about gradcafe. Since 3 of 7 programs have called candidates for interviews and have announced decisions to accepted & rejected candidates, I assume I have been rejected from them. But still should get the regret/rejection email, no? I wonder what's happening. Some schools don't notify waitlist students, since their admission status is still up in the air (could go admit, could go reject). When I did my first round of grad admissions 8ish years ago, I discovered that some schools even effectively don't reject anyone - it's either admit or you're on the waitlist. You might be #5,762 on the waitlist, but they still wouldn't out and out say I was rejected. So, you may be waitlisted. I would give it to the end of the month, and then send some email inquiries or make some phone calls for places that seem to have made notifications based on the results search.

Texan_Air Posted February 22, 2015 Posted February 22, 2015 columbia09, I still haven't heard anything from any Texas school or Virginia Tech so I wouldn't worry to much, as it seems some programs can take longer than others to get back to you. My POI at Virginia Tech said he made his decisions a week ago for who gets in their masters program, so the graduate school is taking their time it seems.
columbia09 Posted February 28, 2015 Author Posted February 28, 2015 Got my first acceptance yay Nebraska !!! mb712 and mkd17 2
