onedayslp
If you have funding from one school, is that something you should tell another school (that didn't give funding) in hopes they would try to compete? Has anyone done this? Does it ever work? onedayslp and oconn614 1
neucool
I sort of doubt this works in our field at the masters level. I kind of feel like they aren't going to fight for individual people by offering more funding just to make sure you come. But, I could be wrong, pure speculation here! onedayslp
Yeah, you are probably right. I kind of doubt it would work.
scisl006
I feel like all thy can do is say no so it wouldn't hurt to ask. Especially if it's a top choice school and you have strong stats. All programs want the best people in their program. oconn614
Liz113
I'm not sure if this is true of the schools you applied to, but a lot of the ones I applied to claimed to have no or almost no funding for masters students. Unfortunate truth.
