Sadly, UW Madison and UW Whitewater are the only two schools that I can commute to and personally, I am not a big fan of online classes UW Madison is too competitive and UW-Whitewater is taking it's own sweet time to make it's decisions

I got extremely lucky. Looking at your stats, I'm very surprised that I would be higher on the wait list than you are! Whitewater is coming off as a bit unorganized to me - I actually took myself off of the wait list when they sent another survey out on Friday, so I was really confused when I heard from them this morning. I'm sure you're up there on the wait list...hoping you get good news soon!!!!

I have my heart set on Whitewater. & thanks for the positive thoughts, as always, @polarbeara 3/4 schools I'm waitlisted at said their first round of wait list acceptances have until 5/1 to accept or decline their spot. Here's to another week of waiting! If you guys haven't heard from your school about waitlists, just send them an e-mail. Only Rush hasn't responded (I may have emailed the wrong address..), and everyone else was super nice and gave me a heads up on the time frame!

I do believe all things happen for a reason, so this entire wait process, while nerve wrecking, will probably serve as a great life lesson For me UW-Whitewater is my only option, so I am obsessing about their e-mails and updates, but is there a particular reason why you like it more than your other waitlist schools? I'll be honest, I don't know a ton about the school and know just enough about the program. I primarily picked it because it was a good option that was commutable. I would appreciate it if you could share any thing you know about the school that would make it your top choice!

I had been leaning Rush for a long time, because I'm interested in aphasia and neurogenics and the medical aspect of the field. As amazing as it would be to live in Chicago, I think Whitewater is better fit for me because I can also do aphasia/neurogenics, the tuition is almost half as expensive, cost of living is lower, and considering I just bought a car last year it makes more sense for me to be in a suburban location (plus then I can visit Chicago/Milwaukee/Madison on the rare days I'm free!) I also really enjoy the fact that they have a small cohort, and I've had positive experiences with everyone I've spoken to there. Aaaaand my boyfriend is from Wisconsin...and I know how badly he wants to get back to the Midwest; I've never lived anywhere but the East Coast and want to experience somewhere new! I'm on the same boat as you with another week of waiting. I wonder if they consider moving those who are persistent and willing to attend up their waitlists... I've had a tiny little hope deep down that they might consider that. I've responded to every email about remaining on the waitlist almost immediately since I've been stalking my inbox. Maybe I look crazy, haha, but I'm hoping it would show how excited I still am to have a chance. Here's to hoping we can make an impression!

I emailed my top program and just said I was excited but they gave me very little information. However, this was the beginning of April so I don't know if its appropriate to message again and say I really want to go here!
