puyple Posted August 26, 2015 Posted August 26, 2015 Is there a place, similar to what College Board does for undergrads with SATs and ACTs, where you can look up average GRE scores for various schools and departments? Magoosh had something of this nature for Ivy League schools.
eeee1923 Posted August 26, 2015 Posted August 26, 2015 Some programs may list does kinds of stats, but it is program dependent. I don't believe there's some centralized repository for that kind of data.
columbia09 Posted August 26, 2015 Posted August 26, 2015 Most schools don't even list their average scores.
ExponentialDecay Posted August 26, 2015 Posted August 26, 2015 The GRE company website lists the average scores for top schools for select programs. Google it. puyple 1
TakeruK Posted August 26, 2015 Posted August 26, 2015 It might not help puyple, but for some fields, you can use http://www.gradschoolshopper.com/Their title page says they contain information for "physics, astro and other physical sciences". I haven't had to look at this for a long time so I'm not sure which "other physical sciences" they mean!
GREMasterEMPOWERRichC Posted August 26, 2015 Posted August 26, 2015 Hi puyple,If you know which Schools you're planning to apply to, then I would start by visiting each Schools specific website and looking for the information there. If you can't find it, then you should contact the Admissions Office directly and ask - they will almost certainly provide you with any general information that you're looking for.GRE Masters aren't born, they're made,Rich
puyple Posted August 27, 2015 Author Posted August 27, 2015 I've already checked specific web pages where this information would be listed, such as the graduate admissions page for each department. I was just wondering if anyone knew of a site that compiled this kind of information.
