Ashley Marie Posted October 23, 2009 Posted October 23, 2009 Hi, I am applying for a visual arts program, I am currently a Moore student in Philadelphia, and I am in my Senior year and have no time or money to visit any school. Although, I would love to go to the best of the best, I can't afford these programs, and might not apply to them. I know I am applying to Washington University in St. Louis because they do give out full scholarships to select students and I was fortunate enough to visit it last year and fell in love with it. I am looking for a program that gives out full rides or a good deal of money. I found Tulane University in New Orleans, which I will apply to. Does any one have any suggestions for me? This is a very stressful process and I would appreciate any help I can get. THANKS!
nathancotephoto Posted October 23, 2009 Posted October 23, 2009 I believe that in the SW it should be easier to find funding for school. University of Arizona, U of New Mexico and texas should have a school or two that would offer funding. Im looking at the programs in NM and Az for photo. -nathan
~*~ Posted October 23, 2009 Posted October 23, 2009 Many state schools offer assistantships to most incoming students and these cover tuition and pay a stipend. A couple I know of are U of Oregon and Southern Illinois - Carbondale.
sunjingfang1 Posted November 12, 2009 Posted November 12, 2009 I am sure many "Universities" gave painting people full ride, TUITION+STIPEND like UC SYSTEM, UMICH,UIUC, CORNELL,, yes and many of state schools. except crisis, like last year. The only question is if you match the school, You should do lots of research, to find which school you could in. Many big U only pick 3-5 painting people each year. the schulpture program is the most difficult program to get into, next is painting, I did a research, just only 20% painting people could win in thier first round application
