I took the GRE last week and didn't encounter a disguised experimental section in the quant. or verbal. Just the standard 28 math questions and 30 verbal questions.

Is the typical? I was anticipating a block of 60 questions at some point. And oh yes, I should mention, they did offer me the optional "research" section.

AW came first; followed with the math and the verbal section. it asked me if i'd participate in a research/experimental section after i did my Verbal test. there was no experimental section in disguised.

I havent taken the GRE since 1995 so I will be retaking it again later this month. That said, I got an experimental quantitative section on both my SAT attempts, the '95 GRE attempt and 2000 MCAT. What's the chance of that happening?

My test was also AW, Q, V, and then an experimental Q section. The experimental section was clearly marked as such and voluntary.
