UC Irvine School of Education (PhD program)

Hi, GradCafe members,

I noticed on the Results forum that a couple of the GradCafe members had been accepted to the PhD in Education program at UCI (University of California Irvine).  If you are out there, can you please PM me? I was also accepted, and would appreciate a chat to share resources and thoughts about the program.

Someone posted on the results page that he/she has been waitlisted at Irvine.  PM me if you read this.

I applied but haven't heard anything yet, so I'm guessing I'm going to hear back when they send out all of their rejections.... :/

@refreshingmyemail, for 2017, it looks like it did because someone posted in the Results about getting an interview invitation.

At any rate, I'm applying this year and haven't heard anything, not even an interview invite. I'm thinking to ask people who were admitted last year.

@refreshingmyemail, I might be wrong. I thought I saw your posting in another forum from last year that you received an interview invite from UCI School of Education.

Yes I received an interview last year but was waitlisted and did not end up with an offer :/

Hi @ugggggh, this is my first time applying there. Were you waitlisted last year? I'm basically waiting for a rejection since I didn't get an interview invite.

I was not.  I didn't receive any communication last year other than the rejection email.  I do remember exchanging messages with @refreshingmyemail around this time last year though.  Looks like it was a 0 year for us both, but this year will be better!
