Late Admission Deadline

Does anyone know any schools that have really late admission deadlines? I feel as if I can't get into the schools that I have applied to and maybe if there are other schools still accepting applications that I could have a better chance.

I bet you do have a chance to get in where you applied, this whole process just seems to mess with everyone's confidence. But, just in case I know that Hampton University's deadline is June 1 and South Carolina State University's is June 15, if you don't mind going to an HBCU. So, you'd obviously have a lot of time to see if you need or want to apply. I was originally gonna apply to these schools later in the process, but surprisingly got accepted where I currently go. CSDCAS lists Salus University as accepting applications until April 1st. Checking their website looks like they do rolling admissions, so I'd email them to see if they're still looking to fill any spots since they are a newer program. It's also possible people who accepted spots earlier will start receiving acceptances from other schools, so a waitlist might be an option. http://www.salus.edu/Colleges/Education-Rehabilitation/Department-of-Speech-Language-Pathology/Application-Process.aspx

I also know Jacksonville accepts a second round of applications until April 15th too.

But don't give up hope yet! You haven't heard back from everyone, you could still get in! If not, taking a semester off and waiting for Spring admissions isn't the worst deal either. It'll be like one last, extended summer vacation

Salus has said that their program is almost full but they're still doing interviews for the waitlist.

Hopefully I do, but thank you for the suggestions, I will look them up!

University of DC isn't until May, but I guess people have said there are some negatives aspects of the school??

Hampton University due June is also on the pretty cheap side! I think they only require like 48 credits too

I've also heard Hampton University's deadline is in June, but now I can't find where I read this on the website. About Hampton: since it is a historically black university, does this mean we are less likely to get in if we are of another ethnicity?

@slpdee I don't think it being an HBCU will make it harder to get in, I know of people of all races going to HBCU's. It is mainly black people who attend but I think at this point that has more to do with others being uncomfortable or unsure about going to a predominately black school. Plus, if you look at the avg GRE and GPA on edfind and yours are on the higher end or better, I doubt being another race will make them think twice about admitting you. And if you don't get in, it's only a $35 app fee unlike many others. I think SCSU's is only $25!

 A girl in my program called in Feb. and they told her the deadline had passed. They might have given her wrong information.  I would just call before you pay the app. fee just in case.

@giles217Oh, ok. I might be wrong, the way they have the deadlines on the website is a little confusing. But It wouldn't hurt to contact them like you said.
