I'm not really sure what you have to do to be certified in ABA but working as a TA for a special needs program might be an easier position to obtain! I have heard from many people who have worked in this field and then be successful in getting into schools. Plus it's a great way to not only observe speech sessions, but a variety of it as well. For ex. the program that I worked in has many classrooms so the cognitive levels of the students were all very diff, so I was able to see speech sessions ranging from solely relying on aac devices, to how to socially interact w peers, to motor control issues, and I feel like that gave me a great foundation for speech

yea I'm kinda confused too lol. so all the schools that I'm considering the most I didn't get funding for so I will most definitely be taking out almost all loans. I did my fafsa kinda late (like really end of feb) so I feel like I won't hear back until after April 15th. I can commit before hearing back from fafsa right? Like it's not like they would deny me loans?

When I interviewed with syracuse (the 18th) the woman said they'd let us know around 3 weeks after!

University of DC isn't until May, but I guess people have said there are some negatives aspects of the school?? Hampton University due June is also on the pretty cheap side! I think they only require like 48 credits too

For those that applied really late - have you guys heard back yet? I know they were sending them in waves, and I think I literally applied the last day but still haven't heard back yet. Was wondering if this means waitlist/rejection

I'm pretty sure that person was notified by phone. From what I've heard in the past MGH calls those who are accepted with funding first, then calls those accepted but with no funding, then emails the rest with rejections I think? Mine says it's still being reviewed too

I'm thinking about doing the hours before classes start! However do you know how people do it through a school in the summer if they're not actually enrolled anywhere yet? Lol thanks for the help I feel so clueless

I just didn't do them through my undergrad! and people keep telling me that ill have to do an extra summer now bc of it

Thanks that's good to know! Living there would be such an awesome experience wish it wasn't so expensive I'm also kinda confused about how fasfa works in terms of grad school.../does anyone know when we'll find out about awards?

question! Is it bad/out of the norm that my undergrad was com. dis. but i never did my 25 clinical hours? I didn't realize that the hours had to be affiliated with a college so I thought i was okay with my hours from the therapist I shadowed with...I didn't realize it was a big deal until everyone else told me i was the only one :|

thanks! yea it was. I dont really remember the exact date of csdcas, maybe 3 weeks before the deadline, but I remember that I didn't send in my supplemental app until really late..like the last day of dec??? i applied to loyola too! do you have any idea when we'll hear backk?

they emailed me around 4 saying a decision has been made with a link attached!

I guess it applies to UVM too, because I just got an acceptance letter on my portal but no call! Which almost makes me nervous that its a mistake haha

if we didnt get an interview invite from NYU does it basically mean a rejection?

I think it's listed in the comments section on the application credential status page. Also I noticed you applied to all the Boston schools except Northeastern. any reason why you left that one out?

also I think i bu holds interviews around the 25th anyone know when they call for interviews/gotten a call already?

Also I could be totally wrong bc it seems really late but doesn't Hampton university and university of dc have deadlines in May and june? And I swear it was for fall
